The State of Maine has arguably the best Moose Hunting opportunity anywhere. These are large Taiga Moose - plentiful enough to produce the trophy of a lifetime. The down side of this golden opportunity is the difficulty in obtaining a tag. You must draw a tag from a lottery system that allots a mere 10% to nonresidents. Contact the state of Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, 284 State Street, 41 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333-0041 Tel: 207-287-8000 for further information on how to obtain an application for Moose Permit. Or check out their website at: http://janus.state.me.us/ifw/index.htm If you are one of the lucky winners in Wildlife Management Districts 4, 8 or 9 you should contact us at once to schedule your hunt.
